Today, it is a most special bridge with unique architecture, a living historical relic with cultural value, in comparison with five newer bridges crossing the Red River.
Your tour guide will teach you some basic local language in 30 minutes to help you understand shopping skills, then you will know how to spend our currency “VND” to buy some favorite food from friendly sellers. You then take bicycles to ride around Hoan Kiem Lake by yourself , then onto to the traditional market.

It is interesting to walk around the market to see a variety of things such as: herbs, spices, vegetables, meats, fishes, and fruits which are so fresh. All things bring you very close to the simple life (herbs and spices are a very important part of authentic Vietnamese food).
You will have a fun time to practicing your oral communication and use of body language with locals. Do not forget to take some photos with them.
After your shopping, you come back our cooking class to prepare and cook by yourself, under the instruction of your tour guide from the beginning to the end; learning how to marinate and add spices will be the most crucial lesson. You will also enjoy decorating dishes with carrot flowers, lemon grass stems, banana leaves and curved chili. The authentic magical dipping sauce, mixed from fish sauce, water, sugar, lime, chili, garlic and herbs is very easy to make.

At mid-day enjoy your meal with local hosts who introduce the history, culture and meanings of the typical dishes, you also have an ideal dinning place, with wonderful views of the Red River and Eiffel bridge,
Around 1pm, our tour guide will transfer you back to your hotel and give you a secret recipe if you want, see you again!

Thank you very much for tour arrangement. I enjoyed it and got lots of knowledge about Hanoi.
The food was very good. We had local food with good taste and nice drinks. The Old Quarter is very nice and historical too. Much appreciate for their service, food, car, tour guide, etc.

My group of three people visited Hanoi and did street food tour and must to say this was the amazing time with us in Hanoi . It takes a combination of walking tour to visit old quarter Hanoi and food tasting .Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and showed us how to eat properly and how to make, so the processes of cooking were revealed. We tried many delicious local delicacies at food stalls deep inside narrow streets, surrounded by tropical fruit vendors and legions of curious youngsters. The tour definitely goes far beyond what we expected with superb food and excellent service. I highly recommend doing a street food tour. It saves you the agony of staring at all the amazing food!

I booked the Hanoi food Walking tour and it was very good. I enjoyed the food so much and the English speaking guide helped with translatioms along the way. It was an interesting tour though the back streets of the Old Quarter and I saw many things that I would have missed if exploring by myself. The food was delicious and I would reccommend this tour, as it takes you to many places that would remain undiscovered without it
    Thanks HTS,

My friends and I, (4 people), took a street food tour with HTS and enjoyed the experience. The handsome Mr David guided us and took us to places we would never have known existed. It was a soft walking experience, made even better by our guide’s sense of humour. Copious amounts of tasty food were consumed and we dodged the rain on several occasions. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get an insider’s view of Vietnamese kitchens and cuisine.

My husband and I went on the food walking tour with HTS tour and had a wonderful time. Our guided tour took us down alleys and small streets, and to the market in Hanoi. We tried a variety of different foods, all delicious. A great morning on an equally great tour.
